A professional HTML e-mail signature makes your messages look clean, branded, and trustworthy. If you use an iPhone for daily communication, adding your custom HTML signature ensures your branding stays consistent across all devices.

Setting up a rich HTML signature on the default iOS Mail app requires a quick and specific trick to prevent Apple from stripping away the custom styling and formatting.

Please follow these step-by-step instructions carefully to ensure your signature renders perfectly.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

1.Copy the Signature:Step 1.

Open the HTML signature file or the email containing your new signature in your browser. Select the entire signature (including all images, icons, and text) and select Copy.

2.Navigate to Mail Settings:Step 2.

Open the Settings app on your iPhone. Scroll down and tap on Mail, then scroll to the very bottom and select Signature.

3.Select Account & Paste:Step 3.

If you have multiple email accounts, choose Per Account and locate the specific email address. Tap and hold inside the text box, delete any existing text (like “Sent from my iPhone”), and choose Paste.

(Note: The signature may look slightly distorted or misaligned immediately after pasting. Do not worry, this is normal.)

4.The:Step 4.

Immediately after pasting, gently shake your iPhone. A pop-up menu titled “Undo Change Attributes” will appear on your screen. Tap Undo.

This crucial step forces iOS to strip away its default formatting and restores the original HTML code, layouts, and colors of your custom signature.

Testing Your New Signature

  1. Open your default iOS Mail app.
  2. Draft a new email using the account you just configured.
  3. Your signature should automatically appear at the bottom with all graphics, hyperlinks, and social media icons correctly aligned.

Important Note on Images: If your signature images or logos do not load immediately when testing, ensure that you have an active internet connection and that your Mail app is configured to load remote images.
